A research peptide label is not a Certificate of Analysis. When you buy research peptides in the UAE, the useful check is whether the lot on the pen matches an independent assay — HPLC for chromatographic purity, mass spectrometry for identity — not a generic “lab tested” line.

This article is for laboratory buyers. Swiss Pharma products are for research use only. Not for human or veterinary use. Not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. See /policies/research-use.

What HPLC tells you

High-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC), often reverse-phase HPLC (RP-HPLC), separates components in a sample. The chromatogram shows a primary peak and any other detectable peaks under that method. A purity percentage is the share of the detected signal assigned to the main peak — it is method-dependent, not a guarantee of fitness for every experiment.

When you read an HPLC result, look past the single percentage:

  • Method and wavelength (Swiss Pharma’s published pipeline uses RP-HPLC at 220 nm with internal standards)
  • Retention time and peak area
  • Chromatogram attached to the lot
  • Named testing laboratory

A purity claim with no method, no chromatogram, and no lot number is marketing, not an assay.

What mass spectrometry tells you

Mass spectrometry (MS) checks whether the measured molecular ion matches the expected identity of the compound. HPLC and MS answer different questions. A strong HPLC peak without identity confirmation does not prove you have the intended sequence. Swiss Pharma’s published verification steps include an MS identity check and a third-party retest at an ISO/IEC 17025 partner lab, with results published against the lot.

What a lot COA must connect

Product → batch / lot number → laboratory → methods → reported results

Check that the lot on the pen (and the QR on Swiss Pharma pens) matches the lot on the COA. Confirm the lab is named and searchable. Prefer reports that include method, instrument notes, chromatogram, MS confirmation, and acceptance criteria — not a reused PDF applied to every SKU.

ISO/IEC 17025 describes competence of the testing laboratory within its accredited scope. It does not mean a peptide is “ISO certified.”

Cold-chain after the assay

Swiss Pharma ships prefilled pens with cold-chain packout (gel-ice mailers). On arrival, refrigerate at 2–8 °C; do not freeze.
