DSIP (Delta Sleep-Inducing Peptide) is a nonapeptide (Trp-Ala-Gly-Gly-Asp-Ala-Ser-Gly-Glu) first isolated by Schoenenberger and Monnier in 1977 from the cerebral venous blood of rabbits in induced slow-wave sleep.
